Welcome to engineer.systems, a working knowledge base on systems engineering: practical mental models, feedback structures, and design heuristics that hold up in real production work. Notes link to other notes, and over time a shape emerges from the links rather than from a table of contents.
How this place works
A knowledge base is not a blog. There is no reverse chronological feed and nothing is ever really “done”. Two foundational notes seed the graph:
- Feedback loops, the engine of system behavior.
- Leverage points, where to intervene in a system.
Start anywhere. Follow the links.
What to expect
Notes are dated by when they last changed, not when they were “published”, because they keep changing. If a note is useful before it is finished, that is the point.
